On Saturday, December 5, 2020, the GVHS took part (virtually) in the annual We The People District Competition and demonstrated that they were #BulldogSTRONG. As a team GVHS placed 2nd in the 21st Congressional District. Each of the GHVS Units placed with 1 Third Place and 5 Second Place finishes. Two students were recognized with the Dr. Jack Brigham Award for Outstanding Displays of Civic Virtue and Civic Learning.

Unit 1- 3rd Place: Jonathan Luna, Nestor Montelongo, Roberto Perez
Unit 2- 2nd Place: Jessica Ibarra, Marlena Mace-Carrillo, Mario Garcia, and Donovan Toney
Unit 3- 2nd Place: Anela Keen, Daniela Samayoa-Ortiz, and Katherin Ramirez
Unit 4- 2nd Place: Michael Garcia, Stephanie Hernandez, and Leonardo Medrano-Guillen
Unit 5- 2nd Place: Oliva King, Natalie Bueno, and Samantha Medina
Unit 6- 2nd Place: Yahir Gonzalez, Samuel Andrade, Diego Nuno-Cortez
